It has been a while but I 'am finally done with my independent project. I really enjoyed this project and have learnt so much and have gotten lots of positive feed-back from my peers. I really enjoyed using Adobe Illustrator and hope to get better at it in the future. I'm very thankful for the opportunity that this project has given me to expand my knowledge of art and learn new tools to vary what it is I favorite. above all else I must say I really enjoyed this project.

It's been three weeks since we have started this project and I think I'm making good progress. Out of the six drawings that I' am planning to do Three of them are done and I' am now working on the fourth. I' am still doing the characters in order from favorite to least favorite. So far I have done Hollow Knight, Minecraft, and Link from breath of the wild. I still have few more characters to go and some rethinking for some different characters but I' am still doing ok.
So our teachers have had us create presentations about different periods of art in history. This was a project that the entire class has had to do which made it very interesting to hear. Everyone had their own parts to do and I chose ‘The History Of Roman Art’. I don't fully remember everything I had learned from the presentations but I do remember how interesting they were. Everyone was so unique from each other and it was so interesting. I'd say for my presentation I did a good job of finding the information but however did not do so well when presenting. My anxiety really kicks up when I'm presenting most of the time. I'd say if I was to do anything differently was to get better at not having a panic attack in front of multiple people.
My research for the assignment involved how romans would conquer a society then plagiarize their art and culture. When writing my speech I wanted to be somewhat serious and enthusiastic about my everything even though half of it involves death which made it really interesting. My work has been presented in the form of speech and the use of my infographic. For my independent project I have decided to create a pyramid of different videogame characters because it's what I've grown up with. I'm not fully sure what exactly what characters I want to do but it will be organized as follows. Most favorite towards the top and lesser favorite near the bottom. My medium will be an online drawing tool called "Adobe Illustrator". I want to keep the theme of this towards more modern videogame characters for example Hollow Knight, Legend Of Zelda BOTW, Assassin's Creed, Mario, Minecraft.
1: What were your initial thoughts, feelings, and perspectives – did anything stick with you?
The rules of this game don’t depend on who made the song but who owns the copyright. 2: Are you copyright or copyleft? Why? I would have to say that I am “copyright”. If someone wants to use my art then I feel that they would have to get my permission first of all. I feel that if you create art you should be given credit for it. 3: What is the relationship between media production and media consumption? The main similarity is that media production is what media is being produced based on the trend which is also known as the diet or the consumption if you follow the trend popularity will come to you much easier. 4:To what capacity should visual artists be allowed to use the images of other artists? Explain. I feel that there does become a point where they should not be allowed to the art that other people have created. So for someone to use that is more of a privilege than a right you should be able to create your own art without the use of someone else's art. But if they permit you to use the art then use it for the purpose it was given to you, don't just take it and leave the creator behind. |
